



Springfield, Mass. - January 7, 2010 - The Springfield College wrestling team will open up the second half of its season as the 23rd ranked team in the country according to the latest Brute-Adidas National Wrestling Coaches Association Division III Poll, which was released earlier this week.The Pride has competed in just one dual meet this season, in which they cruised past WPI, 29-15, on December 9th.
Springfield will hit the mats for the first time in 2010 when it travels to Williamsport, Pa. to compete in the Budd Whitehill Duals hosted by Lycoming College on January 14-15.
This is the highest Springfield has been ranked this season, as it had previously been ranked 24th in the country earlier in the year.

Jason Holder will enter his third season as head wrestling coach in 2013. Holder had a standout first season at the helm of the Pride, leading Springfield to the NEWA Duals Championship and taking three wrestlers to the NCAA Championships.
