The top four teams remain the same in the poll. The top two teams are from the NESCAC conference. They are Amherst and Williams, both at 6-0. Amherst received 226 points and 19 first-place votes. Williams received 206 points and the remaining four first-place votes.
Maine Maritime, now 7-1, of the New England Football Conference was third with 171 points. Springfield was fourth with 159 points.
Trinity at 5-1 was fifth, moving up one slot, with 140 points.
The second five included Endicott at 7-2 with 117 points, Framingham State at 7-2 with 74 points (jumping from 10th to 7th), Norwich at 7-2 with 70 points, Western New England at 7-2 with 65 points, and Wesleyan at 4-2 with 18 points.
Springfield faces a tough foe in Empire 8 conference play next Saturday in Rochester, N.Y. when it takes on St. John Fisher at 12 noon.
