



Springfield, Mass. - April 8, 2009 - The Springfield College men’s lacrosse team will host MIT on April 25th at Stagg Field with a different twist as the Pride will have its eye on raising awareness towards breast cancer.The Pride will take on the Engineers in Pilgrim Lacrosse League action at 3:00 pm in the second game of a lacrosse doubleheader on the campus of Springfield College. The women's squad will challenge Smith in a New England Women's and Men's Athletic Conference (NEWMAC) contest Saturday afternoon at 12:00 pm.
Springfield College plans to raise breast cancer awareness in the following way:
* pink ribbons will be handed out to all fans
* donations will be accepted to help raise awareness for breast cancer research
* the game program will be pink
Springfield College is requesting fans wear pink apparel to these contests.

Keith Bugbee enters his 30th season as head men's lacrosse coach at Springfield College in 2013. Under his direction, the Pride is one of the top programs in the country. Bugbee's coaching record stands at an impressive 317-149 (.680 winning percentage). Read more.
