No. 20 Field Hockey Falls To No. 7 Cortland, 1-0

SPRINGFIELD, Mass., Oct. 5, 2003 – Springfield College junior goalkeeper Lindsay Pardue (Houston, Texas) made 19 saves but it wasn’t enough as the 20th-ranked Pride fell, 1-0, to seventh-ranked Cortland this afternoon at Benedum Field.

The game’s lone goal came with 2:13 left in the second period when Cortland freshman Molly Brown (Liverpool, N.Y.) scored her fourth goal of the season.

Red Dragons senior forward Alana LaMorte (Miller Place, N.Y.) and junior forward Ashley Ostrander (Whitney Point, N.Y.) recorded five shots apiece. The Pride failed to register a shot in the match.

SC falls to 7-4 on the season while Cortland remains perfect at 8-0.
