The action will kick off on Saturday evening at 5:30 pm when the Springfield College men's basketball team takes on Roger Williams for the opening game of the men's tournament. Later that evening, Bates will square off against Rutgers Newark at 7:30 pm.
Sunday's action will consist of four games, with the men's consolation kicking off the day at 1:00 pm. The men's championship game will be played at 3:00 pm before the Springfield College women's basketball team will battle RPI at 5:30 pm. Keene State and Tufts will close out the day's games at 7:30 pm.
The women's tournament will conclude on Monday evening with the consolation tipping at 5:00 pm and the championship game starting at 7:00 pm.

About The Men’s Field
Roger Williams University (6-3)
Roger Williams owns a 6-3 record through the opening semester with wins in four of its last six games. Taylor Petruccelli leads the team in scoring and rebounding with 10.7 points and 5.8 rebounds per game.
Springfield College (6-4)
Springfield enters the Classic with wins in six of its last seven contests. Matt Cavalieri has been the Pride’s top player through the first semester, averaging 19.8 points and 8.4 rebounds. Ryan Coburn is adding 13.6 points per game and is ranked in the top 10 nationally in blocks per game.
Bates College (7-2)
Bates has won five of its last six contests entering this weekend’s play. Brian Ellis leads the team in both scoring and rebounding with 19.8 points and 6.4 caroms a game. As a team this season, Bates is shooting 50.7% from the floor.
Rutgers Newark (10-1)
Rutgers Newark opened the season with 10 consecutive wins before dropping a 77-72 decision in overtime to Neumann on Dec. 14. Five players are averaging double figures in the scoring column, with Pedro Burgos’ 21.3 points per game leading the way.

About The Women’s Field
RPI has a 3-3 record before its west coast swing that includes three games against California Luthern, Chapman, and Univ of Redlands from Dec. 27-30. Through six games, Sarah Wetmore is pacing the squad with 17.5 points and 7.8 boards per game.
Springfield College (3-6)
After an 0-4 start, Springfield has righted the ship with three wins in its last five games. Kelly Murphy is averaging 10.9 points per game and is shooting nearly 45% from behind the arc.
Keene State (3-5)
Keene State entered the winter break with a 3-5 record as it has dropped four of its last five contests. Courtney Cirillo is leading the Owls 18 points and 8.4 rebounds per game.
Tufts University (6-1)
Winners of five-straight games, Tufts owns a 6-1 record heading into the Classic. Colleen Hart, who recently became the program’s all-time leading scorer, has netted 18.1 points per game to pace the Jumbos.
