Springfield, Mass. - February 21, 2013 - The Springfield College men's lacrosse team's home-opener against Nazareth has been pushed to Friday, February 22nd at 3:00 pm due to the impending snow storm in the area.Springfield opened its season on Wednesday afternoon and cruised to a 22-7 win at Gordon behind 11 goals and seven assists from its starting attack. The Golden Flyers lost their season-opener to fourth-ranked Steveneson, 17-11, on Feb. 16.
The Pride, which is currently ranked 14th in the nation, has won its last three home openers, including knocking off Nazareth, 11-8, in 2011.
Keith Bugbee enters his 30th season as head men's lacrosse coach at Springfield College in 2013. Under his direction, the Pride is one of the top programs in the country. Bugbee's coaching record stands at an impressive 317-149 (.680 winning percentage). Read more.
