Springfield College Men's Basketball To Be Featured on ESPN 1450 The Hall

Brock and Berthiaume to Visit With ESPN 1450 Springfield, Mass. - December 23, 2011 - Springfield College head men's basketball coach Charlie Brock and junior guard Alex Berthiaume will appear on ESPN 1450 AM The Hall on Friday, December 30, on College Weekly at 4 p.m. hour.

The program is designed to highlight local athletes who now participate in intercollegiate athletics at the area colleges and universities, and airs every Friday from 4-5 p.m.

In his first season with the Pride, Berthiaume has guided the squad to a 7-3 start after averaging 18.7 points per game. The former Cathedral High School standout returned to his hometown of Springfield after transferring from St. Michael's last spring.

Springfield's seven wins through its first 10 games is the most since the Pride non nine of the opening 10 contests in the 2004-2005 campaign. That season, Springfield went 22-7 and reached the second round of the NCAA Championship.

Charlie Brock Charlie Brock in 2013-14 will enter his 16th season as the head coach at Springfield College and his 34th season as a head coach overall. Brock’s achievements as a coach are certainly impressive. He has taken three schools to the NCAA Division III Tournament and has an overall, 32-year record of 440-397. Read more.
