Baglow and Clark Garner All-America Honors in the All-Around at NCGA's

Whitewater, Wisc. - March 22, 2013 - Both Brittany Baglow and Abby Clark earned All-America honors in the all-around competition on Friday evening at the National Collegiate Gymnastics Association (NCGA) National Championships at Wisconsin-Whitewater.

Baglow had a tremendous showing, placing third in the all-around competition with a 37.650, while Clark tallied a 36.025 to take 10th. Springfield's third all-around competitor, Lauren Pocius, registered a score of 36.025 en route to taking14th.

Before tonight, just seven times in the program's storied history had a gymnast earned All-America honors in the all-around. Audrey Lastra '10 was the last gymnast to earn the recognition in 2007.

On the evening, Baglow had the top score for Springfield on all four events. She scored a 9.650 to tie for fifth on the vault, and posted a 9.425 on the balance beam. In addition, she notched Springfield's top mark on the uneven bars after registering a 9.025.

On the floor exercise, Baglow placed 17th with a 9.550, and Jennifer Habeeb tallied a 9.500 for 21st.

With her finishes on the vault and balance beam, Baglow advances to represent Springfield College the individual championships on Saturday.
