



2013 NGWSD Registration and Consent FormSpringfield, Mass. - January 16, 2012 - Springfield College will host National Girls and Women in Sports Day on Saturday, Feb. 16. On that day, girls in grades K through 6 are invited to attend clinics at Springfield College where they will participate in several sports and activities, including soccer, softball, tennis, and volleyball. The clinics, which are free of charge, will be held in campus facilities.

Girls are encouraged to bring a bagged lunch to eat with SPIRIT, the Springfield College mascot, at 12:15 p.m. Then, at 1 p.m., participants and their families are invited to stay to watch, free of charge, the Springfield College women's basketball team play against Babson College on James Naismith Court in Blake Arena.
"We are excited to once again host National Girls and Women in Sports Day at Springfield College. Traditionally, the turnout for the event is great, and the girls always have a fun time interacting with our student-athletes," said Kiki Jacobs, associate director of athletics at Springfield College. "We are looking forward to celebrating the achievements and accomplishments of girls and women in sport."
