Boyington, Eiges, Poulin Lead Attack For Women's Tennis
Second-year head coach
Michael Myers is the right man to re-establish Springfield College women’s tennis as one of the elite programs on the college scene.
The Pride dominated New England women’s tennis from 1985 through 1996, posting an amazing 137-25 record that included a 14-0 mark in 1990.
Liz Poulin returns for her senior campaign and will play #1 singles for the second consecutive season. Junior
Melissa Boyington, who played #4 singles last fall, and sophomore
Jackie Eiges, who played at #5, should figure in at #2 and #3 this season. Sophomore
Aimee Dalenta will also move up to #4 singles, while junior
Sarah Anderson, sophomore
Meagan Barton, senior
Melinda Brunner and junior
Jamiee Cameron will be looked upon to step up and perform at #5 and #6.
Myers has flexibility in doubles play. Poulin and Eigas are a capable duo at #1, while Boyington and Dalenta will team up at #2.

Head Coach Toby Coffin

Toby Coffin G’01, enters his third year as the head men’s and women’s tennis coach at Springfield College. Coffin, who has coached at numerous high schools in the area, will look to build a program which will contend for a conference crown.
