



A total of 141 Division III women’s programs received the USTFCCCA’s All-Academic Team honors this year, compared to 112 schools from last season. Just over a third of all Division III institutions (390) who sponsor women’s cross country received the honor. In addition, 30 of the 32 teams in the championship field at this year’s NCAA Division III Cross Country Championships were named USTFCCCA All-Academic Teams.
For a team to be considered for the USTFCCCA All-Academic Team award, they must have competed and compiled a team score at an NCAA Regional Meet. The team must also have achieved a minimum 3.10 team cumulative grade point average.
Jim Pennington enters his 29th season as head coach of the Springfield College women’s cross country and track and field teams in 2013. Under Pennington’s direction, the Pride has recorded seven top 20 finishes at the NCAA Indoor and Outdoor Track & Field Championships, and seven top 15 finishes at the NCAA Cross Country Championships.
