



Cortland, N.Y., October 16, 2005 - Springfield College sophomore forward Eileen Jenkins (Gorham, Maine) scored a goal and assisted on another score as the No. 9 Pride defeated Ithaca College, 3-1, on Sunday morning (Oct. 16) at Cortland.
Senior back Meghan Bascetta (Granby, Conn.) scored the eventual game-winner for the Pride three minutes into the second half (38:04) off an assist from Jenkins, who scored the first and only goal of the opening half. Senior midfielder Erin Bosch (Shoreham, N.Y.) added an insurance goal off a feed from classmate Alisha Miner (Sanbornton, N.H.) in the 46th minute of action. Ithaca freshman forward Elyse Green prevented the shutout as she found the back of the cage at the 57:27 mark.The Pride has won 11 of its last 12 contests, including three-straight. SC returns home to host Smith College in a New England Women’s and Men’s Athletic Conference (NEWMAC) game on Tuesday night (Oct. 18) at 7:00 p.m.
