Houston, Texas - March 23, 2013 - The Springfield College men's swimming and diving team concluded the 2013 NCAA Division III Swimming and Diving Championships on Saturday on a high note with Michael Normoyle earning All-America honors for the first time in his young career.
In the 200 breast, the first-year swam a 2:03.00 to take fifth in the consolation finals to place 13th overall en route to Honorable Mention All-America honors. In the prelims, Normoyle qualified for the evening session. after posting a 2:03.19, which was the 15th fastest time in the event. He entered the race ranked fifth with a 2:02.20.
Senior Kenny Pancoast concluded his collegiate career by wrapping up the diving competition on the three-meter board. The two-time New England Women's and Men's Athletic Conference (NEWMAC) Men's Diver of the Year registered a score of 433.40 in the prelims on Saturday afternoon. He finished in 20th place and did not qualify for the finals.
