



AMHERST, Mass. (February 9, 2008) – The Springfield College men's and women's swimming and diving team dropped its final non-conference dual meet of the season over the weekend at Amherst College. The men's squad fell 129.5-105.5 while the women's team dropped a 132-103 decision.
Emily Sheehan finished first in the 1000 meter with a time of 11:00.27. Teammate Moira Price claimed first in the 200 IM in 2:13.44 before setting a qualifying mark and pool record in the 200 breaststroke as she finished in a time of 2:24.14.
Erin White registered a national qualifying mark on the one-meter board with a mark of 250.87.
Springfield will now prepare for the NEWMAC Championships that will begin on February 22.
