



Springfield, Mass. - December 12, 2011 - Junior David Chessen was honored for his outstanding season as he was named to the 2011 National Soccer Coaches Association of America (NSCAA) All New England South Second Team.Earlier this season, the Edison, N.J. product was named a New England Women's and Men's Athletic Conference (NEWMAC) All-Conference selection for the third straight year, his first as a first-teamer. Chessen was a major factor in Springfield capturing the NEWMAC Championship and advancing to the NCAA Championship for the first time since 1999.
The two-year captain recorded one goal and tacked on three assists during the regular season. He was also key in anchoring a Springfield defense that allowed just 20 goals and recorded six shutouts.

Steffen Siebert enters his second season at the helm of the Springfield College men's soccer program in the fall of 2013. After three seasons as an assistant coach, Siebert led the Pride to its second-straight trip to the NEWMAC Championship in his first season. Read more.
