Field Hockey Ranked No. 9 In Latest D-III Poll
SPRINGIELD, Mass., Sept. 28, 2004 - Springfield College is ranked No. 9 in the latest National Field Hockey Coaches Association (NFHCA) Division III poll, released today. The Pride is currently 7-1 under first-year head coach
Melissa Rogers.
SC began the season with four consecutive wins before being edged at No. 4 Middlebury, 3-2, on Sept. 14. Since that loss, the Pride has rattled off three straight victories, including wins over Amherst College and Wheaton College.
SC begins a four-match road trip at Trinity on Sept. 29. After heading to Wellesley (Oct. 2), the Pride heads to No. 7 Cortland (Oct. 3) and defending New England Women’s and Men’s Athletic Conference champion Mount Holyoke (Oct.5).
