DiPaolo Tabbed NEWMAC Runner of the Week

was honored by the New England Women's and Men's Athletic Conference (NEWMAC) for her efforts this past week as she was named the NEWMAC Women's Cross Country Runner of the Week.
DiPaolo had a standout race at the UAlbany Invitational for the women's cross country team on Saturday afternoon. The senior crossed the finish line seventh out of 193 runners to pace Springfield to an 11th-place finish out of the 24 team field. DiPaolo finished the 5k race in 17:57.5.
Springfield will now have a week off until racing in the New England Women's and Men's Athletic Conference (NEWMAC) Championships on Saturday, October 31 at Wellesley.
Head Coach Jim Pennington
Jim Pennington enters his 28th season as head coach of the Springfield College women’s cross country and track and field teams in 2011-2012. Under Pennington’s direction, the Pride has recorded seven top 20 finishes at the NCAA Indoor and Outdoor Track & Field Championships, and seven top 15 finishes at the NCAA Cross Country Championships.
