Lewis Named NEWMAC Men's Diver of the Week

Jack Lewis Springfield, Mass. - November 4, 2013 - Jack Lewis (Durham, N.H.) was chosen as the New England Women's and Men's Athletic Conference (NEWMAC) Men’s Diver of the Week.

The junior swept the three-meter and one-meter boards this weekend in a tri-meet with URI and Coast Guard. He earned scores of 306.70 on the three-meter and 271.40 on the one-meter. The Pride toppled URI, 251-38, and was defeated by Coast Guard, 170-126.

In the opening meet of the season, Springfield earned a 166-134 victory over host Holy Cross. Lewis registered a 289.50 on the three-meter and a national-qualifying mark of 273.67 on the one-meter board to sweep the diving competition.

Springfield is 2-1 to start the season and will compete again on Saturday, hosting MIT at 1 p.m.
