



SPRINGFIELD, Mass., September 8, 2007 – Jennifer Schwarzkopf won her match at No. 1 singles and teamed with Trish Devine at No. 1 doubles to lead the Wellesley College women’s tennis team to a 9-0 conference victory over Springfield College this afternoon at Springfield's Appleton Courts.
With the win, Wellesley is now 1-0, while Springfield falls to 0-1.
Schwarzkopf defeated Springfield senior Melissa Weinstein, 6-0, 6-0 in singles play. Schwarzkopf then teamed with Devine, to defeat the Pride’s No. 1 doubles team of Weinstein and Amy Shaw.

Toby Coffin G’01, enters his second year as the head men’s and women’s tennis coach at Springfield College. Coffin, who has coached at numerous high schools in the area, will look to build a program which will contend for a conference crown.
