



BOSTON, October 8, 2005 -- The Springfield College men's cross country squad ran to a 36th-place team finish out of 47 competing teams at the Open New England Championships on Saturday afternoon, October 8, in Boston's Franklin Park. The meet featured some of the best Division I, II, and III teams in the New England region.
SC travels to the Albany Invitational in Albany, N.Y., on Saturday, October 15, in its last tune-up before the New England Women's and Men's Athletic Conference (NEWMAC) Championships, hosted by Smith College on October 29.

Bryan Brown will enter his third season as the head men's cross country coach in the fall of 2013. Brown, who was a former All-American at Springfield College in track, is the reigning NEWMAC Coach of the Year after leading Springfield to its second-straight second-place finish at the conference championships a year ago .
