Men’s Soccer Nips Clark, 1-0
SPRINGFIELD, Mass., October 5, 2002 – Springfield College senior forward
Brian Ehrhard (Danbury, Conn.) scored the lone goal of the game as the Pride defeated Clark, 1-0, in the New England Women’s and Men’s Athletic Conference (NEWMAC) match. The goal scored by Ehrhard came in the 83rd minute of play off a free kick awarded to the Pride.
The goaltending duo of
Tom Bowden (Havertown, Pa.) and
Steve Paige (East Longmeadow, Mass.) combined for four saves during the game as they shutout the visiting Cougars who fall to 2-5-2 on the season.
With this victory, the Pride improve to 5-5-1 (1-0-1 NEWMAC) on the season. On Wednesday, October 9, Springfield College will be hosting Bridgewater State, at 4:00 p.m.
