Women's Gymnastics Falls At Bridgeport, 188.725-181.650

BRIDGEPORT, Conn.-- March 7, 2008 – The Springfield College women's gymnastics team fell at Bridgeport on Friday evening, 188.725-181.650, in the Pride's final dual meet of the season.

The Knights won every event in the competition and swept the top three spots in three of the events.

On the vault, Jacqueline Mazzola finished third with a score of 9.560. On the bars, Jeanna Bradle placed fourth with a score of 9.350.

Alexandra Ploenes recorded a fifth-place finish on the balance beam with a mark of 9.300 while also placing fifth in the floor exercise with a score of 9.350.

Springfield returns to action on Saturday when it serves as host to the 2008 ECAC Division III Championships. The meet is slated to begin at 1:00pm.
