



Complete ResultsMiddlebury, Vt. -- December 10, 2011 -- Phillip Murphy, Nolan Manley, and Josh Ernst each won a pair of events in leading the Springfield College men's swimming and diving team to a 154-146 victory over Middlebury College this afternoon. The win upped SC's record to 3-2.
Murphy, a freshman from Holyoke, Mass., won the 1000-yard freestyle with a time of 10:13.35, and later the 500-yard free with a time of 4:57.00. Manly, a junior from Monson, Mass., captured the 200-free in 1:46.66 and the 100-free in 48.92. Ernst, a senior from West Springfield, Mass., won the 50-back in 25.67 and the 100-back in 54.24.
In addition, junior diver Kenny Pancoast (Monroe, Conn.), won both the one-meter and three-meter dives. In the one-meter, he scored 316.65 points. In the three-meter, he scored 309.90 points.
In fact, SC went 1-2-3-4 in the one-meter diving, and went 1-2-3 in the three-meter. Freshman Jack Lewis (Durham, N.H.) finished second in both events.
