



Complete ResultsWest Point, N.Y. - March 6, 2010 - The Springfield College men's gymnastics team scored a team season-high 335.900 points this afternoon and went on to defeat Army and Brockport in a meet at the U.S. Military Academy. Army finished second with 325.000 points, followed by Brockport at 286.350.
With the wins, Springfield has raised its record to 15-5 on the season, and remains a perfect 5-0 versus Army.
Ty Evans and Josh Fox were once again dominant for the Pride, finishing 1-2 in the all-around. Evans scored 84.500 points, Fox 84.150.
Evans had a great day, placing in the top six in all six events. He took first in the high bar with a score of 14.200. He also finished tied for second in the floor (14.850), third in the vault (15.350), third in the parallel bars (13.700), tied for third in the pommel horse (13.350), and tied for fifth in the rings (13.050).
Fox finished in the top three in four events. That included a first in the rings (13.450), a second in the high bars (14.100), a tie for second in the floor (14.850), and a tie for third in the pommel horse (13.350).
Others who did well for SC included senior co-captains Kyle Bartgis with a first in the parallel bars (14.400) and Matt Tocchio with a second in the pommel horse (13.900). In addition, Mike Licari placed in a tie for second in the still rings (13.250).
Next Sunday (Mar. 14), Springfield will conclude its home season with a tri-meet versus Air Force and William & Mary in Blake Arena at 1 pm.
