In the Pride's two wins in the Classic, Crean was unstoppable as he averaged 22.0 per game and snagged four boards. Shooting a sensational 73% from the field (19-of-26) Crean also dished out six assists.
The sophomore from Sleepy Hollow, N.Y. opened up the Classic with a 23-point showing in the Pride's 70-52 win over Drew University. Crean connected on his first nine shots of the evening and finished going 9-of-12. He added four rebounds, two assists, and a steal.
In the championship game, Crean went 10-of-14 from the floor en route to 21 points as he led Springfield to a 75-64 victory over Montclair State. He also added four rebounds, four assists, and a block in 35 minutes of action.
He was named the MVP of the tournament and joined teammate Gregg Daly on the All-Tournament team.
