



Springfield, Mass. - March 8, 2012 - The Springfield College Men’s swimming and diving team will be send diver Kenny Pancoast to the 2012 Division III Men’s Swimming and Diving Championships, which will take place on March 21-24, 2012 at Indiana University’s Natatorium in Indianapolis, Indiana.Pancoast will be the sole representative for the Pride at the championship. Pancoast was named New England Women’s and Men’s Athletic Conference (NEWMAC) Men’s Diver of the Year. He won both the one-meter and the three-meter events at the NEWMAC conference championships with scores of 531.95 and 505.35, respectively.
Last season, Pancoast made his first-ever trip to the nationals, but was unable to qualify for the finals on either board. Under the direction of diving coach Pete Avdoulos, Pancoast looks to earn his first All-America honor.

John Taffe enters his 24th season in 2012-2013 as the head coach of the men's and women's swimming teams at Springfield College. Under Taffe’s leadership, the Pride has returned to its status as one of the best collegiate swimming and diving programs in Division III. Read more.
Peter Avdoulos is regarded as one of the top diving coaches in the nation, and will enter his 28th season as the diving coach for both the men's and women's programs in 2012-2013. The current NEWMAC Men's Diving Coach of the Year, Avdoulos has coached countless All-New England and All-American divers, as well as several National Champions. Read more.
