Men's Gymnastics Finishes Third At Navy Invitational; Women's Gymnastics Falls At So. Conn.

ANNAPOLIS, Md. - Springfield College junior
Aric Hines (Greensboro, N.C.) finished second on the pommel horse and the floor exercise to lead the Pride to third place out of four teams at the Navy Invitational, Saturday.
Host Navy won the event with 202.95 points followed by William & Mary (197.925), Springfield (190.9) and James Madison (183.8).
Hines totaled a 9.050 score on pommel horse and a 8.7 on floor exercise in SC's first action of the 2005 season.
On the women's side, sophomore
Heather Tuden (Londonderry, N.H.) won the floor exercise and tied for first on vault, but it was host Southern Connecticut taking a 179.70-174.975 win over the Pride, Saturday.
Tuden posted winning scores of 9.525 in floor exercise, and 9.25 on vault to lead SC.
