Five SC Women Gymnasts Earn Academic All-America Honors
SPRINGFIELD, Mass. October 15, 2004 -- The Springfield College women's gymnastics team ranked 41st in the nation on the 2004 NACGC/W Academic All-America team list with a cumulative team grade point average of 3.227. Five team members were recognized for their individual achievments and named Academic All-Americans.
To recieve Academic All-America status, student-athletes must attain at least a 3.50 g.p.a in addition to earning a minimun NCAA gymnastics score of 8.0 during the 2003-2004 academic year.
Junior
Larissa Tabin (Holyoke, Mass.), a political science major lead the way for the Pride with her g.p.a of 3.87. Sophomore
Kelly Conlon (Madison, Conn.), a communication major, and junior
Jessica Doyle (Walpole, Mass.), a psychology major, were tied with a g.p.a of 3.79. The other two academic honors went to junior
Jolene Woznicki (Warren, Conn.), a Rehab & Disabilities studies major, and sophomore
Laura Nadramia (St. James, N.Y.), a businees managment major with a 3.58 g.p.a.
