



Springfield, Mass. - April 11, 2009 - The Springfield College men's tennis team suffered a 7-2 setback at the hands of conference-foe Babson on Saturday afternoon in a key New England Women's and Men's Athletic Conference (NEWMAC) match. Due to rainy conditions, the match was moved indoors at Springfield College's Field House.Springfield's No. 1 doubles team of Andrew Constant and Trevor Romanzi picked up a win as they won 9-7 in the top doubles match. Springfield then only had one remaining winner as Babson won five of the six singles matches. SC's Tim Tunis pulled out a win at No. 4 singles by a score of 5-7, 6-4, (10-7 super-tiebreaker).

Toby Coffin G’01, enters his second year as the head men’s and women’s tennis coach at Springfield College. Coffin, who has coached at numerous high schools in the area, will look to build a program which will contend for a conference crown.
