



Complete ResultsEau Claire, Wisc. - March 25, 2011 - Five Springfield College student athletes competed in the opening day of the 2011 National Collegiate Gymnastics Championships on Friday evening.
The Pride sent five individuals to Wisconsin as individual specialists. Brittany Baglow, Carly Flynn, Annmarie Graziosa, Ashley Moreck, and Christina Pagella all represented Springfield College in the competition.
The top 14 finishers on each event on Friday evening qualified for Saturday's individual championships. Baglow was the lone Springfield competitor to qualify for Saturday's championship as she placed 12th in Friday's qualifer on the balance beam with a score of 9.675.
On the vault, Pagella scored a 9.550 to place tied for 15th, while Flynn tallied a 9.500 to finish tied for 20th. Graziosa scored a 9.050 on the vault, while Baglow totaled a 8.575 on the same event. In the floor exercise, Baglow also scored a 9.350, while Pagella totaled a 9.200.
In the uneven parallel bars, Moreck recorded a 7.500 and Baglow registered a 7.350. Baglow also competed in the all-around competition and finished with a total score of 34.950.



Cheryl Raymond, who will be entering her 33rd year as women's gymnastics coach and assistant professor of physical education at Springfield College in 2012-2013, is one of the top college coaches in the region. Read more.
