Evans, who hails from San Jose, Calif., dominated by placing in the top three in five different events. The sophomore claimed the all-around title with a score of 84.00. Evans had the top score on the parallel bars with a 14.100. He then tied for first on the high bar after recording a score of 14.200. He also finished second on the floor with a 14.400, and placed third in the vault after scoring a 15.200.
Evans has been one of the Pride's top performers for the past two years. Last year as a freshman, he claimed first place in the vault in the individual portion of the 2009 USAG Championships held at William & Mary College, thus winning a national championship.
