No. 10 Wrestling Finishes 1-2 At NWCA Dual Championship

COLUMBUS, Ohio - Jan. 18, 2003 - Springfield College senior
Keith Poloskey (Middle Island, N.Y.) won all three of his matches as the No. 10 Pride went 1-2 at the Cliff Keen/National Wrestling Coaches Association Division III Dual Championship, Saturday, hosted by The Ohio State University.
Springfield fell, 29-6, to Buena Vista (Iowa) in the first round, before defeating Ohio Northern, 18-17, in the consolation bracket. Luther (Iowa) College then eliminated the Pride, 43-10.
Poloskey, the top-ranked 141-lb wrestler in Division III, ran his record to an umblemished 13-0 this winter. Senior
Bill Ivatts (Foxboro, Mass.) won both the matches he wrestled at 174 lbs., while sophomore
P.J. Rovinelli (Framingham, Mass.) went 2-1 with a pair of pins at 184 lbs.
