Men's Soccer Rolls Past MCLA, 6-2
SPRINGFIELD, Mass., Sept. 24, 2002-
Mike Fregosi (Carmel, N.Y.) and
Ryan Lavner (Shrewsbury, Mass.) each scored twice for Springfield College on Tuesday as the Pride defeated the Massachusetts College of Liberal Arts (MCLA) 6-2 in North Adams, Mass.
Evan Johnson (Northford, Conn.) and
Brian Ehrhard (Putney, Vt.) also contributed in the scoring to help give Springfield a 3-1 lead at the half.
Mike Clark (Pittsfield, Mass.) scored the first goal of the game for MCLA in the 15th minute to give the Trailblazers a temporary lead. It was all Springfield for the remainder of the match as sophomore goalkeeper
Tom Bowden (Havertown, Pa.) picked up the goalie decision with two saves.
After this victory, the Pride improved to 3-4 overall on the season, and will next be competing at Western New England College (WNEC) on Thursday the 26th of September at 4:00 p.m.

Steffen Siebert enters his second season at the helm of the Springfield College men's soccer program in the fall of 2013. After three seasons as an assistant coach, Siebert led the Pride to its second-straight trip to the NEWMAC Championship in his first season.
