Williamstown, Mass. - January 19, 2013 - The Springfield College men's swimming and diving team dropped a 189-106 decision in a dual meet with Williams College on Saturday afternoon.
Kenny Pancoast had a dominant showing on the one-meter board, producing a national-qualifying score of 320.40 to earn first-place points. Earlier in the afternoon on the three-meter, Jack Lewis finished second after totaling a score of 278.40.
Travis Morse continued to excel in the backstroke events, taking second in both the 100 back in 54.56 and 200 back in 2:01.59.
In the 100 breast, Michael Normoyle was the runner up after touching in 59.51, before later placing second in the 200 breast with a time of 2:11.40. In the 200 free, Nolan Manley was fourth with a time of 1:48.22.
Jason Scotto swam a time of 48.93 in the 100 free to take second, while John Vatkevich regiesterd third-place points in the 200 fly with a 2:00.50.
The Pride's 400 free relay team of Scotto, Normoyle, Scott Peters, and Manley closed out the meeting swimming the third-fastest time of the race, a 3:19.78.
The Pride will host Babson on Saturday afternoon at 1:00 pm.
