Golf Concludes Season at WNE Invitational
Springfield, Mass. - April 17, 2014
- The Springfield College golf team concluded its season on Thursday as it competed at the WNE Invitational at Veterans Golf Course. As a team, the Pride finished ninth out of the 10 teams in the competition.
Host Western New England won the team title after totaling 302 strokes, edging Endicott's score of 305. Springfield wrapped up the day with a team score of 370 strokes.
Frankie Anetzberger (Selkirk, N.Y.) had Springfield's lowest score of the day as he shot an 88, while both Jordan Maynard (Norwich, Conn.) and Michael McAllister (Rancho Cucamonga, Calif.) finished their rounds with a 91.
Alex Leung (Milford, Mass.) posted a score of 100, and Maxwell Lee (Medway, Mass.) rounded out the Pride's competitors with a 104.
Head Coach Joe Eadie
Joe Eadie enters his 20th season as the head men's golf coach at Springfield College in the fall of 2012. Eadie is the head golf professional at the Fenway Golf Range in nearby East Longmeadow, and is in the process of becoming a PGA Professional. He also lead the Pride to their first NCAA Division III Championship in program history. Read more
