SPRINGFIELD, Mass., Oct. 1, 2003 – Springfield College sophomore midfielder
Alisha Miner (Sanbornton, N.H.) scored two goals including the game-winner with 4:09 remaining in the first half to lead the 20th-ranked Pride to a 4-2 non-conference victory over Trinity this evening at Benedum Field.
The first period featured an offensive explosion with both teams combining to score three goals in a span of 135 seconds. SC senior
Brianne Tompkins (Stormville, N.Y.) got things rolling when she scored the game’s first goal with 21:00 minutes left in the opening frame. Trinity responded when junior forward
Jessica Baker (Middlebury, Conn.) found the cage 56 seconds later for the Bantams' first score. Miner then netter her first goal of the game at the 18:45 mark of the period.

Kim Stevens (North Knox, Maine) added her fourth goal of the season late in the final period to cap the scoring.
The Pride renew New England Women’s and Men’s Athletic Conference (NEWMAC) play on Saturday at 1:00 p.m. at MIT.
