Men's Cross Country Finishes Seventh At MIT Harrier Classic
BOSTON, Mass., Sept. 27, 2003 - Springfield College sophomore
Scott Barton (Fort Plain, N.Y.) finished 27th (28:04) to lead the Pride to a seventh place finish (187 points) out of 12 teams at the MIT Harrier Classic held at Franklin Park in Boston.
SC junior
Patrick Derocco (Utica, N.Y.) finished in 31st place (28:20) and freshman
Nate McMahan (Millis, Mass.) finished in 40th place (28:30).
Wheaton College came in first among school-sponsored teams with a score of 88 points. The Greater Boston Track Club topped the Lyons with a score of 85 points.

Bryan Brown will enter his third season as the head men's cross country coach in the fall of 2013. Brown, who was a former All-American at Springfield College in track, is the reigning NEWMAC Coach of the Year after leading Springfield to its second-straight second-place finish at the conference championships a year ago .
