Davis Named NEWMAC Women's Lacrosse Player of the Week Springfield, Mass. - March 28, 2011 - After leading the Springfield College women's lacrosse team to a pair of victories last week, sophomore Allie Davis was named the New England Women's and Men's Athletic Conference (NEWMAC) Women's Lacrosse Player of the Week.

A native of Fairfield, Conn., Davis continued her strong play as she scored eight goals and added two assists last week.

In Springfield's 20-14 win at Keene State, the sophomore registered seven points off five goals and two assists to pace Springfield to a non-conference victory. In the Pride's NEWMAC opener on Saturday, Davis recorded a hat trick as the Springfield clipped Wheaton, 8-7.
