



Springfield, Mass. - January 31, 2011 - For the second time this season, sophomore Kenny Pancoast has been honored as the New England Women's and Men's Athletic Conference (NEWMAC) Men's Diver of the Week.A native of Monroe, Conn., Pancoast had an impressive showing in Springfield's dual meet with Babson on Saturday. The sophomore won the one-meter competition with a mark of 302.05, while placing second on the three-meter with a score of 307.02.
This is seventh time this season that a member of the Springfield men's diving team has been honored by the NEWMAC. Other than the four times that Brian Sobel has been selected, Pancoast has been named twice, while Brooks Farrar earned the weekly recognition once.

John Taffe enters his 25th season in 2013-2014 as the head coach of the men's and women's swimming teams at Springfield College. Under Taffe’s leadership, the Pride has returned to its status as one of the best collegiate swimming and diving programs in Division III. Read more.
Peter Avdoulos is regarded as one of the top diving coaches in the nation, and will enter his 28th season as the diving coach for both the men's and women's programs in 2012-2013.
