Acciaioli Places First At Trinity Last Chance Meet
NEW HAVEN, Conn., March 5, 2005 – Springfield College junior
Natasha Landon (Hudson Falls, N.Y.) surpassed her previous pole-vault school record by clearing 10 feet 10 and three-quarters to earn second place this past weekend at Trinity’s Last Chance Track and Field meet.
SC junior
Christina Davis (Orance, Conn.) captured first place in the weight-throw with a toss of 47-7.75
On the men’s side, senior captain
Matt Acciaioli (Warwick, R.I.) placed first and sophomore
Alex Kampersal (Natick, Mass.) took second in the shot-put with distances of 53-5 and 49-1.5, respectively.
SC senior
Justin Welch (Woburn, Mass.) cleared 6-4.75 to place second in the high jump.

Ken Klatka, just inducted into the Springfield College Athletic Hall of Fame in October, 2011, enters his 37th season as head coach of the men’s track and field program in 2012-2013. He ranks among the nation’s most successful coaches, with an overall record of 442 wins, 144 losses, and two ties for an impressive .753 winning percentage. Under his direction, Kevin Coyle '12 won the 2011 Division III Indoor Long Jump National Championship.
