Lively received first team honors, while Lang-Rodean was named honorable-mention. For Lively, this marks the second year in a row being named to the AVCA New England All-Region team as she was chosen as a sophomore. This is the first all-region accolade for Lang-Rodean.
Both Lively and Lang-Rodean continued to rack up honors for their performances on the court. Earlier in the week, the duo was named to the New England Women's and Men's Athletic Conference (NEWMAC) Women's Volleyball All-Conference First Team.
Lively, a native of Royalston, Mass., had another standout year for Springfield. In her second year for the Pride, Lively was notched 432 kills, averaging 3.42 per game with a .243 hitting percentage. While playing all the way around the court this season, she added 221 digs to go along with 31 aces. In addition, her 3.97 points per game ranked second in the conference.
Lang-Rodean enjoyed a breakout junior season for the Pride. The Mansfield Center, Conn. native was a dynamic offensive weapon for SC this season as she hit .325, racking up 367 kills. She also posted 49 aces and 93 total blocks, averaging .74 blocks per game. For the year, she ranked third in the conference hitting percentage, fifth in points per game (3.8), eighth in blocks per game, and kills per game (2.92).
