Men's Gymnastics Splits Tri-Meet At Temple
PHILADELPHIA, Pa., February 21, 2004 – Springfield College senior
Tim Goetz (South Plainfield, N.J.) finished third on the rings (8.850) and the vault (9.350), while finishing fourth on the parallel bars (8.350) as the Pride finished second in a tri-meet with host Temple and MIT on Saturday (February 21).
The Pride compiled 199.950 total team points in the meet on Saturday, while first-place Temple scored 205.450 team points. MIT finished the meet with 144.300 total points.
SC senior
Jason Delisle (Tolland, Conn.) finished in a tie for second on the high bar with an 8.150-point performance.
Other strong performers for the Pride on Saturday included sophomore
Aric Hines (Greensboro, N.C.), who finished third on the pommel horse (8.500) and freshman
Scott Goff (Syracuse, N.Y.), who finished in a tie for third in the floor exercise (8.450).
SC will next be at home on Sunday, February 29, in a tri-meet scheduled for 4:00 p.m. with Air Force and Navy, in Blake Arena.
