



Ithaca, N.Y. - December 1, 2012 - The Springfield College men's swimming and diving team wrapped up the second day of Ithaca Invitational on Saturday. Springfield remained in third place as it has totaled 681 points thus far.Cornell leads the 11-team competition with 1,388.5 points, followed by host Ithaca (841.5).
On the three-meter board, Jack Lewis met national qualifying standards as he took fourth with a mark of 462.25. Kenny Pancoast placed fifth in the event after registering a 435.25.
In the pool, Michael Normoyle took fourth in the 100 breast with a time of 58.82. In the 200 free relay, Nolan Manley, Normoyle, Scott Peters, Jason Scotto combined to swim a 1:27.66 to finish seventh.
Tim Ramos swam a 4:34.47 in the 400 IM and posted a 2:00.35 in the 200 fly. In addition, Patrick Geraghty touched in 54.76 to place 17th in the 100 fly.
The Pride had a very strong showing in 200 free as Scott placed fifth in 1:45.70, followed by teammate John Vatkevich in 1:45.74.
Travis Morse, Normoyle, Geraghty, and Manley registered a 3:36.29 in the 400 medley relay. Morse would later finish 10th in the 100 back with a time of 54.25.
The 800 free relay unit of Peters, Manley, Vatkevich, and Scotto placed fourth in 7:04.98.
