



Complete ResultsSpringfield, Mass. -- May 15, 2009 -- The second day of competition at the ECAC Division III Men's Outdoor Track & Field competition is complete at Springfield College's Blake Track. The top 10 finished as follows: Moravian finished first as a team with 64.50 points, followed by RIT (45), RPI and Ithaca (36), Buffalo State and Cortland State (32.50), Wheaton (Mass.) (31), Springfield (29), Geneseo State (28), and Cobleskill and Williams (27). Individual first place finishers appear below.
It was the second straight year that the Moravian men (and, for that matter, the Moravian women) captured the title.
The ECAC's Most Outstanding Male Performer of the meet was senior Nate Tussey of Moravian, who won both the 110 High Hurdles in a time of 14.49, and the 400 Intermediate Hurdles in a time of 52.96.

From a Springfield College point of view, the men scored a total of 29 points, all on the second day of competition, to finish eighth alone. As usual, junior Steve Headley was the Pride's brightest star. The 2009 indoor national champion in the 55-meter dash, Headley ran away with the 100 meter dash with an ECAC record time of 10.51 seconds. That broke the old mark of 10.59 by Amann Siddeeq of Cortland at the 2007 ECAC meet. In the same event, Matt Amendola placed seventh in 11.17.
In addition, senior Mike Griffin placed fourth in the 800 meters with a time of 1:53.07. Two relays also scored for SC. The 4x100 finished second with a time of 41.77. That quartet included Matt Amendola, Steve Headley, Tom Brognano, and Nickel Hay. The 4x400 finished fifth with a time of 3:19.24. The foursome included Brognano, Hay, Kevin Behlmer, and Chris Quetant.
