Malone was selected to the NSCAA All-New England North First Team and becomes the first Springfield College men's soccer player to earn NSCAA Division III All-New England First Team honors. Just 11 players from the region earned the honor, and Malone was one of just two players from the New England Women's and Men's Athletic Conference (NEWMAC) to be selected.
Malone helped lead the Pride to the 2013 Eastern College Athletic Conference (ECAC) Division III New England Championship, scoring two goals in the two-day tournament. It was the first time since 1989 that the Pride won the ECAC Championship.
The senior finished the season with 13 goals, tying him for the most goals in a season in Division III program history and the most a Springfield player has scored since the 1992 season. Of Malone's 13 goals, five proved to be game-winners, a new program record.
The defender was stellar on both sides of the field this season, anchoring a Pride defense that allowed just 17 goals, a Division III program record. It was a season for the record books for the men's soccer team. Springfield tallied 11 shutouts this season and netted 50 goals, both Division III program marks. Springfield's 15 wins is the most in Division III program history, tying the 1999 squad and is also the second-most wins all-time.
Malone was also named to the NEWMAC All-Conference first team, one of four Springfield players to earn All-Conference honors.
