SPRINGFIELD, Mass., Oct. 13, 2004 – Williams College junior back Josh Bolton scored two goals as the visiting Ephs defeated Springfield College, 3-0, in a non-conference men’s soccer match this afternoon on Brock Affleck Field.

Williams improves to 8-2-1 overall, while the Pride falls to 6-7-1. The loss ended SC’s unbeaten streak at four matches.

For the Pride, junior keeper David Minkoff (Oceanside, N.Y.) made seven safes. Williams keepers Jeff Castiglione, Nick Armington and Greg Walker combined for the shutout.

Sophomore midfielder Patrick Huffer scored what proved to be the game-winning goal in the eighth minute. It was a one-goal match until Huffer set up Bolton’s first tally in the 51st minute to give Williams a 2-0 advantage. Bolton added another goal in the 66th minute off a feed from sophomore Brett Olson.
