



Springfield, Mass. - March 19, 2012 - The Springfield College men's lacrosse team jumped seven spots in the national rankings this week as it found itself ranked 12th in the United States Intercollegiate Lacrosse Association (USILA) National Coaches Poll on Monday afternoon.Springfield has won four its its first five games to start the season, including wins over Middlebury and Keene State last week. The Pride kicked off the week with an impressive 14-5 win over then 8th-ranked Middlebury, before handling Keene State, 11-6, in Florida on Saturday.
Springfield was ranked 19th in the country last, but with its two victories, made the biggest move in the polls of any team in the country.
The Pride will now prepare for the a battle with rival and 20th-ranked Endicott on Saturday. Face-off is set for 3:00 pm on Stagg Field.

Keith Bugbee enters his 30th season as head men's lacrosse coach at Springfield College in 2013. Under his direction, the Pride is one of the top programs in the country. Bugbee's coaching record stands at an impressive 317-149 (.680 winning percentage). Read more.
