In addition, three other Springfield College competitors earned national All-Academic recognition. Katlyn Cronin, Alice Efland, and Amberlynn Gifford were all named 2008 NCGA Division III Senior "All-Americans in Academics." Cronin (Manchester, N.H.), Efland (Auburn, Maine), and Gifford (Manchester, N.H.) are the team's senior tri-captains.
Springfield had a total of nine individuals compete at Cortland (SC did not compete as a team). Anyone finishing first through sixth as an individual became a First Team All-America. Anyone finishing from seventh through 12th earned Second Team All-America status.
For the Pride, Jeanna Bradle, a sophomore from New Milford, Conn., finished 10th on the uneven parallel bars. She finished with a score of 9.450. In the vault, two SC competitors finished tied for 10th with scores of 9.500. They included sophomore Brittany Davis (Shelby, N.C.) and junior Jackie Mazzola (Framingham, Mass.).
One night earlier, sophomore Alexandra Ploenes (Medina, Ohio) finished 16th in the All-Around. Ploenes was Springfield's only All-Around competitor. Others who competed for the Pride on Friday night included junior Penelope Bohunko (Wilkes Barre, Pa.), sophomore Ericca Castagna (Topsfield, Mass.), sophomore Kayleigh Davis (Whitefield, N.H.), freshman Ashley Moreck (Berlin, Md.), and junior Jenna Williams (Townsend, Mass.).
Wisconsin-Lacrosse won the team title on Friday night with a total score of 189.050.
