Springfield, Mass. - September 16, 2011 - The Springfield College football game against Husson which will be played on Saturday afternoon at 1:30 pm will be aired on ESPN 1450 on a tape delay on Sunday morning. Local listeners can tune at 9:00 am on Sunday, September 18 to listen to the action as the Pride battle the Eagles in a non-conference matchup. Once again, Kyle Belanger will be calling the action for the Pride, with Justin Felisko providing color commentary. Both Ryan Matlack and Kelly Foley will be on the sidelines reporting as well.
Springfield enters the game with a 1-0 record, while Husson stands at 0-1 on the early season.
Michael C. “Mike” DeLong ’74 enters his 31st season as a head football coach in the fall of 2012. He enters his 29th year at Springfield College alone. For the past 28 years, he has been the head coach at Springfield, his alma mater. Mike had also been the head coach at Maine Maritime in Castine, Maine in 1979 and 1980. Read more.
