



Springfield, Mass. - February 5, 2009 - After powering the Springfield College women's gymnastics team to an upset win on No. 2 Ithaca on Sunday afternoon, Kayleigh Davis has been named the ECAC Specialist of the Week in women's gymnastics.A junior from Whitefield, N.H., Davis was a key reason for the outstanding meet Springfield had in its upset victory over Ithaca College. Davis highlighted the list of standout performances for Springfield by placing first on floor (9.7, personal best), tied for third on bars (9.0) and made two incredible saves to stay on beam and score a 9.15.
This marks the second-straight week the Pride have been honored as Carly Flynn was named the ECAC Rookie of the Week last week.
Davis and Pride look to carry the momentum of the upset victory as they take on Cortland this Sunday.
